Load shedding is back! (… and everyone gives a collective sign!)
After weeks of freely available electricity that (graciously) allowed us to use our microwaves, stoves, ovens, and air fryers, load-shedding is back. While load-shedding might not be too intense yet, we need to be prepared for those late home times, arriving home to starving family members and no way to prepare healthy and delicious cooked meals.
So instead of popping into the car and heading to the nearest (often backed-up) drive-through, here are some general tips and tricks, as well as some easy and tasty, no-cook, recipes below.
